How hard is it to repair a broken speedo consul on a motorbike?

I have been offered a motorbike for a really good price it was dropped doing about 10mph is runs fine but the speedo consul needs to be replaced is this going to be a big job or is it relatively strait forward? Additional information the bikes a 125 and I’m planning to use it as my learner bike before taking my test and moving on to something bigger so I don’t want to have to spend a lot of money on it.

Should be relatively straight-forward. Just note the location of all the wire/cable connections going to the existing gauge cluster, then reattach them to the new cluster in the same places. The cluster should be attached to the bike frame with a couple nuts (may vary, depending on the year/model of the bike).

You should be able to find a replacement cluster on eBay for not too much money.
