How difficult is it to repair a master cylinder on a Suzuki motorcycle/motorbike?
I’ve recently bought a brake master cylinder repair kit (front) for my Suzuki TL1000r motorbike. Can anyone tell me if this is a difficult job to do. I am reasonably handy with a tool (of the metal variety that is!!! lol)
Thanks

You’ll need a special pair of snap ring pliars –

Easy enough job. Can be a bit of a pain in the arse if it’s all crusted up with shite.

Make certain that you avoid the fluid spilling on any paintwork – it will destroy it. While you are repairing the master cylinder it might be worth fitting braided hoses. You will need to bleed the air out after fitting, bleed kits are cheap and make the job a lot simpler especially if you are doing it on your own.
